What is Inquiry Learning?

In an effort to nourish and nurture 21st century learners, our teaching and learning strategies are underpinned by the Inquiry learning model. Inquiry learning leads with discovery and allows every student to begin to understand and interpret the world around them through engaging experiences. Far from the traditional and stagnant methods of teaching, inquiry based pedagogy sees students leading their own dynamic learning journey, facilitated by engaging lessons & activities, interactive educational spaces, teacher guidance & relationship building.

Storypark - Communicating Teaching & Learning

At The Garden we aim to foster positive communication at all times with parents to ensure everyone is up to date with what is happening around the centre. To do so, we use a wonderful programme called Storypark.

Story Park is a secure online community for our educators to communicate with parents and guardians about their children. Each child has a private profile. Educators send an invitation to parents, who sign up for free, and can then access their child’s profile. It’s an interactive space, where parents can contribute, and see what their children are up to while at the centre. They can see where their child’s learning is coming from, and what it means for the child to be participating in our centre. It also helps to bridge the communication gap between busy parents and staff.

You can visit the story park website on the following link for more information. https://www.storypark.com/au/
